Does Renovation Budapest still carry out every type of work?
No. We no longer operate as a general contractor. The site mainly publishes guides, tools and field notes. Very few substantial projects may be reviewed on application.
What does a full Budapest renovation cost?
Our 2026 planning basis is approximately €1,400 / m² excluding VAT for a full mid-range scope, or €1,778 / m² including 27% VAT, before contingency. This is not a quotation.
Can you recommend a contractor?
We do not offer a contractor directory or an automatic contractor referral service. Selection should be based on a comparable scope, verified references, contract, programme and control process.
Do you answer one-off questions?
Sometimes, depending on the question and availability, but without commitment or any guarantee of a reply. The site is designed to make as much useful information as possible freely available first.
What should an application include?
Property status, district, area, works budget, nationality and residence, intended use, timeline, precise support needed and, where available, photos, plans or surveys.
Do you have a substantial, well-defined project?
Only a very small number of requests are reviewed, case by case. We occasionally answer a specific question, without commitment or any guarantee of a reply.
